It was a lovely visit- we booked for a friends surprise 50th birthday which was unfortunately cancelled, but we managed to rearrange booking dates so that the stay coincided with my wife's birthday. Our first visit to Miller and Carter and we thought the rooms were very nice - everything we needed and warm and clean. Our first meal at M&C too, and it was delicious. I especially loved the onion bread! Breakfast was fabulous. Oh the staff were - without exception - really friendly and helpful

My Mum and I have just (29th/30th May) spent two days at The Inkeepers. Jackie and her team deserve high 👏 praise. ALL the staff were SO helpful and kind and made our stay wonderful. Louisa was marvellous at Reception helping everyone and Nicky was a treasure and did a fantastic job servicing our room with care and concern, thank you. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone which made our stay relaxed. A wonderful place to stay and worthy of praise. We'll be back.

Check in was quick we used the online process. Reception staff were lovely as were the waiting on staff for tea and breakfast.in fact any staff we saw were friendly cheerful and helpful.
The bed was very comfortable and room was lovely. I don't think there could be anything to improve on.

Our stay was wonderful. We had had a busy day at the races. We arrived at the hotel. There was plenty of parking which was a huge plus. We arrived at reception and everything we needed to know was explained to us and we went up to our room which was bright and airy, the bed was lovely and comfy and hubby had a great nights sleep (I myself did not due to his snoring). The late check out time is a brilliant idea. The only thing I would say, and it wasn’t a problem for us but the painting in the room wasn’t the best, I’d get someone in to do a better job of cutting in, maybe change the shower heads and the shutter blinds were loose in places. All in all we had a lovely stay and will definitely be booking again for our next break.

3 nights at hotel, rooms good with ample plug sockets and good shower. tv didn't have bbc1/2 but not end of world. Food and service excellent. All staff,housekeepers, restaurant and mangers wee very friendly and helpful

The rooms are amazing for a night out, bed is very comfortable, bathroom big and the shower is amazing over head rain shower feels so relaxing and soothing. Will recommend 👌

Checked in on line and asked for 2 extra pillows but did not receive them. Room OK but small. Paid for breakfast included and went down for breakfast 09:30 to be told that there weren't any eggs left!!!
Just had a bacon sandwich and left - no refund offered

It is a lovely hotel. Very modern conveniences yet classic styling. Very comfortable beds and amazing breakfast.

Lovely time for us both. Food was great . Just wondering what the half an iceberg lettuce with dressing on is all about though and what purpose it serves ? The ribeye was superb and cooked perfectly as we're the scallops

Rooms clean modern and spacious
I was disappointed to find our room was not accessible (1 flight of steps) I’m not sure it is on website that second floor rooms are not accessible (step free)

No air no room service no mini fridge and the people in the car park watching you in the bathroom there is a blind but you don’t think of this when you walk in a toilet

We enjoyed our stay. However, the dining room staff require a little more training with table service. The breakfast was very good, but I missed my black pudding with the cooked breakfast. Would have been nice to have yoghurt and fruit and / or cereal as another option for breakfast. Dinner was very good, but again, service requires tweaking.
In our room, it would have been useful to have hand/body soap in the shower. Only shampoo was available in the shower cubicle. Also, maybe bottled water should be offered in the room,it would have been a nice touch. The lift was out of order for the 2 days during our stay and therefore several stairs to climb to the first floor.
Katie, the manager, was exceptionally pleasant, and our table server Ben, amongst other duties, was a gem.

Thought i would give the hotel a go as i generally stay in premier inns on business every couple of weeks and thought this would be an upgrade due to the price being roughly £40 more than a premier inn.
The bathroom/shower was nice, seems to have been updated. The rest of the room needs decorating as the walls are covered in marks and it looks battered.
Damp smell outside of room permeating into room, looked like you have had a leaky pipe, not sure how long for.
TV was poor, only 3 channels worked, the others all broke up and pixelated.
Breakfast was poor. Scrambled eggs were cooked to within an inch of their life, like rubber and very salty. Would have discussed with staff member but the boss/owner was taking up all her time trying to discuss the finances/forecasts of the hotel quite loudly. Not sure this is very professional.
Staff were really polite and friendly.
Had dinner and it was pretty poor. Had a steak as i assumed it would be good, being a steak restaurant, but it was chewy, had loads of gristle in it and was generally horrible.
Unfortunately you are nowhere near as good as the premier inns in the city of Liverpool and you are a lot more expensive.
Just so you are aware i did used to stay here approx 5 years ago and it was pretty nice, it has definitely gone downhill since then.
